What I want to post this time, is the innovation of Apple and what things we could learn from them. The link will connect to you to the article about it.
The author is claiming about 4 things that made Apple such an success.
First one is that innovation can come from without as well as within the company. As prof. Abraham Lee told us, there weren't any new cutting-edge technology from Apple itself which made IPod. It was only a wrap up of technologies brought from the outside. Of course they wrap them in stylish design and user-friendly software. These approaches is usually called "network innovation". I think this following sentence explains exactly what Apple's strategy is.
"Apple is, in short, an orchestrator and integrator of technologies, unafraid to bring in ideas from outside but always adding its own twists."
Secondly, Apple illustrates the importance of designing new products around the needs of the user, not the demands of the technology. Actually most of new technologies that comes out seem a bit strange for users to get experienced. The first computers, in the old days, were very user-unfriendly. So many wires and difficult manuals and the dark-paged DOS almost scared out the users. But suddenly Apple's Macintosh was introduced. The simple design with colorful operating system and without any difficulties installing softwares was just what the users ever wanted. Those thoughts are till now contiuned by their other many famous products.
A third lesson from Apple is that smart companies should sometimes ignore what the market says it wants today. The fourth lesson from Apple is to “fail wisely”. That's why we should learn from faliure is an important statement.
Of course, those 4 idea aren't the gurantees to success but with good ideas and mind for innovation and good sights through the market, perhaps it will be possibal to grab your key to success.
