Hi, all BS group members. I read the article about Dell, big computer maker, produced mobile phone which is Windows mobile based. It was really attractive for me and I wanted to share with you.

Market analysis firm Strategy Analytics has said that it is very probable that the personal computer maker Dell would enter the mobile phone market by launching a Smartphone range.
Market sources have been claiming that the US based company is working in partnership with Foxconn Group to develop Windows Mobile-based handheld devices.
It is very logical for Dell to enter into this segment as most of their rivals including Apple, Hewlett-Packard, and Toshiba are present in this segment of the market.
The mobile phone market is also very big to ignore for Dell which is working hard to reclaim the number 1 spot in the US market (PC Manufacturing Market).
By the way, Dell had last year hired former Motorola executive Ron Garriques. He was made the president of Dell’s global consumer division. This also points to the possibility that the company is working on plans to launch mobile devices.
The smartphone will be an effective substitute for Dell's previous Axim personal digital assistants that it killed last year. Dell's Axim product portfolio was weak, with not many devices on offer. The company needs a replacement for Axim, and the new smartphone could fill that void.
A new smartphone will also create a new revenue stream for Dell, and the company's move away from a direct sales model could help in sales.
