4. I-Phone University?

I found a article about a very unfamiliar use of Apple's I-phone and it is :

I-phone University!!

Articles are linked below.

First impression of me from the title was, 'Are they thinking to establish a school facility to gain better quality human resources?". But as I continued reading it, it was a bad misunderstood of me. What they are trying to do is, give few universities the full on-line environment for the students, the faculties and staff members through I-Phone or I-Pod. I think it is a similiar system like in Handong's Hisnet, but using the Apple devices.

One of the five contracted university is Abilene Christian University (ACU). It's a small university compared to Havard or MIT, and this small size made Apple for possible development of this new thoughts. There's a video clip made by the students who study in ACU and the video clip is about the schools on-line environment, how students love it and how they react using I-Phone.

As you can see in the video, students really enjoy the perfect on-line environment using I-Phone.
Product of a single company has drastically changed the campus environment. And it's also a great strategy for Apple to advertise and sell their product. Many students and members of school will take advatage of the I-Phone and they will talk about it to other people who they relate with. These lip marketing will give Apple a better competitve advantage than any other hand-held device competitors.

Personally thinking, I hope that this system could also be installed in Handong campus, too. The students, faculties and staff members always have to connect to Hisnet or CIS for class apllications or admissions. But with the help of I-Phone the place won't be a matter to everyone in the campus. It will reduce time of preparing class everyday and it will be so convinient for allof us. Unfotunatly, these system will make the tuition rise, and I think we'd better wait till the price of I-Phone drop.
