If you would remember my first posting, I was very fascinataed with the cute small IPod. Not only me, but also many customers were also satisfied with this nice looking rectangular device. Today I want to write about how the IPod has succeded in the MP3 market.
Above article shows you the way how they have succeeded. The most important fact is rather than accept being a niche PC maker, Steve Jobs transformed his baby into a high-end consumer-electronics and services company.
IPod and ITunes were the first products that could run on MS Windows environment. And that was a pretty big shock for the many Apple mania's because it was one of the most innovative shift ever for the company to draw more consumers. Since many MP3 users were also Windows users, they just don't wanted to change their whole computer devices for IPod. Steve Jobs has captured those customer very quickly and turned their company strategy radically.
Also building the 'cool'-cult made IPod for many users a big hit. Apple was the first company that has made contract with major music labels to sell digital musics. That made lots of consumers get curiousity for using the Apple device and a big expansion of the market share.
Sometimes we might think we are at a dead-end and nowhere to grow. Instead of staying in that situation and it could be a great strategy to break out of that shell and flip the former idea 100% to shift to a new strategy of success.
