“Entrepreneurship is the only way to eliminate poverty in the world” one of my professors once said. I like the terminology and things about Entrepreneurship and even though I see that word appears often in newspapers articles, I see few nations with serious plans to create and develop entrepreneurs.
I was reading last week to one article which talks about Entrepreneurship in a college campus in United States. In my opinion it is a great idea for creating small businesses and introduces the students to the business world. I think the director of this project for the students was very clever and at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, they are so proud of such achievement.
They have created a company called Nanina’s Gourmet Sauce, they make pasta sauce and now are selling their product in around 400 supermarkets and cuisine shops both in New Jersey and Manhattan. What I found amazing ins this article is that even the director of company’s operations is a student in that class. These kinds of projects are really great to imitate. I think we need to create and develop more entrepreneurship mindset in our modern society.
Most of our Handong students usually go to important companies after graduation such as Samsung or LG; only few of them are willing to try self owned business. That is why I am so glad that Handong leaders and professors have created Edison Academy to work with this entrepreneurship project.
I would love to see in the future more and more Handong students becoming entrepreneurs and opening businesses and branches all over places. This will be a great signal of progress and showing to the world that Handong provides leaders to change the world.
